Some surface ore may be hard to find like in the picture above. I know what all the ore looks like so I can spot it decently fast. In this picture above the ore I have found is Lead ore.
Save the lead you get because you will use it later on to make a anvil.
In this picture above is copper ore. I would worry more about lead and iron ore than copper and tin ore. Keep in mind a world that has lead ore will not have iron ore and a world with copper ore will not have tin ore.
