Spelunker!

Spelunker Potions are good to use if you are having trouble coming across ores and can also be used to find life crystals, and chests! If you find any of these throughout your long journey to Wall of Flesh (A boss), I could reccommend saving them. Spelunker potions are very useful when entering hardmode to get hardmode ores!
You can also craft spelunker potions with 1 moonglow, and 1 blink root with a bottle of water. A farm for herbs will be coming up. It will probably be under my "Farming" tab I plan on making.
