Making Money

Hopefully you found at least 1 usable statue while you ventured underground, prepairing yourself for the WoF. If so than you can find a NPC in the dungeons that will sell wires to you. Buy a few wires hook up your statues than make a 1 second timer. If I am correct it takes 1 chain that can be made from 1 iron or lead bar, and 10 platinum or gold bars which you turn into a stopwatch than you should be able to make a 1 second timer. Gather some lava using a bucket place the lava in your farm and you should be set.

Searching for the Underworld

The easiest way to get to the underworld is by digging straight down. Avoid lava though by digging either left or right. Once you reach the underworld make sure you have a few stacks of stone or dirt blocks with you so you can set up an arena for the Wall of Flesh.

Collecting Bait

You will need a bug net which can be bought from the merchant for 50 silver coins. After you have that search around for worms! The best way I have found to get worms, is to look for them while it's raining. If you don't have time for that than you can destroy the grass and you have a chance to get worms and grasshoppers. 

Entering the Dungeon

The only things you really need to look for in here are water candles, if you want a ranger set; bones, water bolt; which can be found on shelves among the books. I know I will probably get a lot of hate for not getting a few accessories but I'v never had to use them. 

Cursed

  For this boss you will want a sizable arena and some campfires.

 You will have to wait until it's dark out, once it is, I recommend doing it when it first turns night but talk to the NPC walking around near the dungeon. The dungeon is always located on the opposite side of the map, from where ever the jungle is.

 This is the hardest pre hard mode boss fight in the game as you have to watch out for his hands too. Though you don't have to kill his hands to defeat this boss you can if it makes the fight easier
