It's Time!

By this time you should have a space gun with a full set of meteorite armor, and around 300 health. I normally do this fight with 400 health but thats just because I find more life crystals before this time. You will want a good amount of crates, I would say roughly 50-100. The main ore/bar we will be looking for is titanium for it's set bonus. 

 To summon the Wall of Flesh grab your voodoo doll and toss it into the lava. This will kill your guide, so make sure you have enough housing for your NPCs. I think around 10-14 houses will be enough at this point.

This fight isn't to hard, it's all the matter of your arena. Once you kill the Wall of Flesh he has a 100% chance of dropping a Pwnhammar that will be used to destroy demon alters which will spawn hard mode ores. 

Crates!

 Do this before fighting the Wall of Flesh!!!

 With the worms hopefully gathered sometime in the beginning, find a pool of water can begin fishing. A fishing pool can be crafted from I think it was 8 crimtain or demonite bars! A crate potion will make it easier to gather crates. It takes 1 moonglow, 1 deathweed, and 1 bottle of water to make this potion.

Do not open any of the crates you fish up, once you begin hard mode, new items will drop from the crates. Hard mode ore is the what we are after!

Demon Scythe

The demon Scythe is a good weapon to be going into hardmode with, it can be a bit tricky to use, so it isn't recommended for bosses, but with it's high amount of damage getting around shouldn't be as hard. 

Slime Staff

Slime have a small chance of dropping a slime staff, which smile from a slime statue can drop. Many people use the smile staff as a way to get money later on in the game so if you get lucky and find one keep it!

Hellstone gear!

You wont really need the armor, but the pickax nonetheless. If you have enough Hellstone bars to craft the imp staff and the hammer/ax make those with whats left. 

Invasions

Goblin invasions are the only invasion you will need to worry about up until after plantara I believe. Fighting a goblin invasion in hardmode will reward you hardmode weapons which many will be good against the mechanical bosses. 

Voodoo Dolls

This can get a bit tricky especially if you use minions but try not to let the guide voodoo doll fall in the lava, this is the item you use to spawn the Wall of Flesh. More than likely a few of them will spawn while the arena is in make. 

Arena for WoF

The best arena used to fight the Wall of Flesh is a simple block road. I recommend making it at lest 2 stacks long, hopefully that is long enough for others to kill WoF. If not than add more blocks to suit your length. Try to make it as flat as possible.

Hellforge

The Hellforge can be found in the random housing in Hell. These are used to craft Hellstone bars, though hold on to the forge as you will need it to craft a titanium or adamantite forge.

Hellstone Bars

To craft hellstone bars you will need 3 hellstone, 1 obsidian, and a hellforge. 

Obsidian farm

In order to make Hellstone bars, not only do you need a hellforge but you also will need Obsidian.

 You can either collect obsidian by taking a few buckets of water or lava and placing it on the opposite liquid. It would be safer to buckets of lava and place them on water. Or you can just make a small obsidian generator which is what I do.

To duplicate water and lava, make a small hook out of the blocks you desire for your small "farm". Click on the raised block in your "hook" and the 1 tile opening will catch a buckets worth of lava or water.

You will need to different sides, one for water and the other for lava. Once you get both of those filled you can start farming obsidian! Block of both sides those before filling them so you can fill both sides with the separate liquids.

Hellstone

Hellstone is probably the easiest yet hardest ore to gather. It is extremely plentiful, but not only do you have to worry about enemies, hellstone spawns lava after mining the ore. An easy way to gather this ore is to always keep a row of ash block between you and the deposit.

Don't stress over collecting every ore in the node, it is faster to just mine what you can get and head over to the next deposit. You wont need to much either do to the fact, you already have good enough gear to fight WoF, that being Meteorite or Necro armor.

Making Money

Hopefully you found at least 1 usable statue while you ventured underground, prepairing yourself for the WoF. If so than you can find a NPC in the dungeons that will sell wires to you. Buy a few wires hook up your statues than make a 1 second timer. If I am correct it takes 1 chain that can be made from 1 iron or lead bar, and 10 platinum or gold bars which you turn into a stopwatch than you should be able to make a 1 second timer. Gather some lava using a bucket place the lava in your farm and you should be set.

Searching for the Underworld

The easiest way to get to the underworld is by digging straight down. Avoid lava though by digging either left or right. Once you reach the underworld make sure you have a few stacks of stone or dirt blocks with you so you can set up an arena for the Wall of Flesh.

Collecting Bait

You will need a bug net which can be bought from the merchant for 50 silver coins. After you have that search around for worms! The best way I have found to get worms, is to look for them while it's raining. If you don't have time for that than you can destroy the grass and you have a chance to get worms and grasshoppers. 

Entering the Dungeon

The only things you really need to look for in here are water candles, if you want a ranger set; bones, water bolt; which can be found on shelves among the books. I know I will probably get a lot of hate for not getting a few accessories but I'v never had to use them. 

Cursed

  For this boss you will want a sizable arena and some campfires.

 You will have to wait until it's dark out, once it is, I recommend doing it when it first turns night but talk to the NPC walking around near the dungeon. The dungeon is always located on the opposite side of the map, from where ever the jungle is.

 This is the hardest pre hard mode boss fight in the game as you have to watch out for his hands too. Though you don't have to kill his hands to defeat this boss you can if it makes the fight easier
